Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church, has revealed the prophecy late Kenneth Hagin made over his life that helped him encounter destiny. He gave this revelation during his sermon at the Easter Youth Alive Convention.
He started by saying that every coming generation must have backing from the generation before them. He explained that before the new generation can manifest their power, they must have some backing from their mentors in the previous generation.
For example, he explained that TL Osborne taught him how to hear the voice of God, and men like Kenneth Hagin and Kenneth Copeland, taught him about the word of faith which he preaches today.
He told his congregation not to despise the words spoken from anointed fathers as it can help them discover destiny. He shared how Kenneth Hagin prophecied that God will provoke jealousy through the coming church, and he was one of the people that caught the word and held on to it until it manifested today.
“Hagin’s books were flying around in those days and I saw the prophecy in one of his books. When I heard the prophecy, I did not look like it. But because I did not treat the word with levity, you can see how it has come to pass today,” he said.
