Angus Fraser College, situated in Makurdi, the Benue State capital and named after the longest serving foreign principal in the state has declared the desire of the school to upholding international education standard that is world class.

While it also stressed its commitment to offering world class, quality, and technology driven education, it stated that it was also committed to creating a safe, innovative and supportive academic environment for students.

Principal of the institution, Emmanuel Awua, disclosed this while conducting newsmen and media executives in the state round the institution, that is named after Angus Frazier, the longest serving foreign principal in the state.

Furthermore, he explained that the College, which offers round-the-clock security with CCTV surveillance, uninterrupted power supply through grid, generator and solar systems, makes it one of the safest schools in the country.

Conducting newsmen round the facility, he explained that beyond the physical structures, the college is driven by qualified and dedicated staff focused on academic excellence, creativity, critical thinking and character formation.

Awua, who further observed that the school sustains a collaborative culture anchored on transparency and community engagement, also noted that the college was poised to deliver globally accepted competitive secondary education in Benue.

According to him, the college’s well-equipped classrooms, technology laboratories, conducive hostels, sports and arts facilities were designed to support the holistic development of students.

He expressed appreciation to the media executives for honouring the invitation and appealed for partnership in projecting the institution to attain national and global recognition.

Stating that the school has officially opened admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session, he said the institution offers specialised programmes in coding, graphic design, data analysis, fashion design, baking, leather works and international examination preparation for SAT, IELTS, TOEFL and GLE, adding that it was among the few that offers such courses in the state.

However, Awua stated that the College was still open to admissions into Basic 7 and 8 as well as SS1 and SS2, with the first batch of entrance examination scheduled for Saturday, 7th March, 2026.

In a vote of thanks, the General Manager, Brothers FM, Makurdi, Elaigwu Abutu, who described the college as topnotch, noted that such standards were rarely found in Benue. End.
