What I Saw About Peter Obi’s 2027 Presidential Race -Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, on his official Facebook page on Friday, October 2, 2026, warned against any attempt to arrest former Vice President Atiku Abubakar or frustrate former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general election.

Ayodele claimed that there could be an attempt to implicate Atiku, while also alleging that efforts could be made to remove Obi from the presidential race.

“The reason they want to implicate Atiku, they might likely be threatening to arrest him,” Ayodele said.

He subsequently cautioned against arresting the former vice president, while urging those involved not to take steps that could hinder Obi’s participation in the election.

“Don’t go there. Don’t arrest Atiku,” he stated.

Ayodele further alleged that there were efforts to frustrate Obi and “cripple” his political ambitions.

“But they are finding a way of sending Obi out of this race. They want to do something to frustrate Obi. They are looking for something that will cripple Obi. Don’t do that too,” he said.

The cleric warned that such actions could have serious political consequences.

“It will really cause your downfall. Your election victory will be crushed,” Ayodele added.

Ayodele has previously made warnings concerning Atiku and Obi ahead of the 2027 election.
