Cheval Blanc Paris Challenges What a Hotel Can BeOliver FlyTwenty years ago, the hotel group Cheval Blanc was born with the opening of Cheval Blanc Courchevel, a stunning hotel that has become one of the most celebrated properties in the French Alps. Since then, Cheval Blanc has grown to include six maisons, with the seventh opening in Sardinia in 2027. There are locations in St. Barth, St. Tropez, the Seychelles, and the Maldives, as well as the Cheval Blanc Paris, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. In that short time, it's become one of the most elite hotels in all of Paris.

As part of LVMH, the hotel integrates many of its sister brands into the experience. That includes a Dior Spa and Ruinart Champagne. Those looking to really elevate the experience can arrive at the hotel via Flexjet, a private jet service that's one of LVMH's newer holdings. Cheval Blanc's Art Deco building was originally designed by Henri Sauvage with architect Édouard François in 1928. It reopened as a Cheval Blanc in 2021, designed by architect Peter Marino. Located right by the Seine in the First Arrondissement, adjacent to the Louis Vuitton headquarters and the must-visit chocolate shop Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton, the 72-room Cheval Blanc has an intimate feel. When guests enter their rooms, many of which have glass-walled balconies with Seine views, they're greeted with Mylar horse balloons mirroring the Cheval Blanc logo, a lovely touch. Butlers are assigned to each of the rooms, and they are responsible for thoughtful details like running a bath for a guest to come home to.

Guests have access to the hotel's Dior Spa, which offers signature Dior Spa Cheval Blanc treatments, a hammam, sauna, and snow shower, in addition to a gorgeous infinity pool, which, when it opened, was the largest in any Paris hotel. Dining, too, is a large part of the Cheval Blanc experience. The hotel has four restaurants: the brasserie Le Tout-Paris (where you can get a table on the terrace, which overlooks the city); Langosteria, which offers incredible Italian food; Hakuba, which offers Japanese fusion; and the fine-dining destination Plénitude.

In its art collection, Cheval Blanc truly stands out. It displays works by the late architect Frank Gehry, who designed the Fondation Louis Vuitton; Vik Muniz; Sonia Delaunay; and François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne. It's yet another way that Cheval Blanc challenges and expands just what a hotel can be.
