Atiku and Obi: Whatever I Am Saying, You Might Not Like It, But I’m Just A Messenger —Elijah Ayodele

In a recent video shared on Facebook on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele spoke about former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi as they continue their political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

In the video, Ayodele stated, “Whatever I am saying, you might not like it, but I’m just a messenger.” He explained that his comments about the two politicians were based on what he believes he has been shown concerning the political situation ahead of the election.

According to Ayodele, Atiku and Obi may not always agree with his warnings or predictions, but he maintained that his role was to communicate what he believes he has received rather than tell them what they would prefer to hear.

The cleric further explained that political figures should carefully consider advice and warnings even when such messages are uncomfortable. He noted that the period leading to a presidential election requires candidates to examine their strategies and the political circumstances surrounding their campaigns.

Ayodele also urged both politicians and their supporters not to dismiss his statements simply because they may be difficult to accept. He maintained that his comments were not intended to please any particular candidate or political group.

He stressed that the 2027 election would involve several political calculations, making it important for candidates to understand the changing alliances, expectations and strategies within the opposition space.

Ayodele concluded by reiterating that his message to Atiku and Obi was not intended as personal criticism, insisting that he was only delivering what he described as a message concerning their political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
