Former KQ CEO Who Was Ordered to Pay Sh10 Million to Ex-Employee Over Arsenal T-Shirt Incident

Former KQ CEO Titus Naikuni was ordered in 2019 to pay former communications manager Kepha Bosire Sh10 million over an incident involving an Arsenal T-shirt.

The order was issued by Labour Court judge Nelson Abuodha following a case involving Bosire and the former Kenya Airways chief executive.

According to Business Daily, the incident took place during a dinner in 2013.

Bosire was wearing an Arsenal T-shirt branded Fly Emirates when the incident occurred. The shirt carried the branding of Emirates, an airline associated with Arsenal.

Naikuni was accused of forcibly removing Bosire’s blazer during the dinner and asking him to remove the T-shirt.

Bosire was later fired from his position as communications manager.

The former communications manager subsequently pursued the matter through the Labour Court.

In 2019, Judge Nelson Abuodha ordered Naikuni to pay Bosire Sh10 million.

The payment order followed the dispute over the 2013 dinner incident and the events involving Bosire’s Arsenal T-shirt.
