TV3 should conduct a thorough assessment before selecting judges for such a crucial stage

In an Official Facebook Post by George Nathaniel on 28 September 2026, concerns were raised about the judging process in the ongoing Ghana’s Most Beautiful competition. The post specifically questioned the comments made by judge Fatima Ali Mohammed, who reportedly described the presentation of Volta Region’s contestant, Sessinam, as being “out of context.” Nathaniel argued that such assessments must be consistent with the criteria and training given to contestants, and that fairness and transparency should be the guiding principles of the competition.  

The post emphasized that Ghana’s Most Beautiful has, since its inception, been a platform where regions showcase their culture, talent, and creativity. The Volta Region, in particular, has remained a strong and consistent participant, producing contestants who have often excelled in the competition. Nathaniel insisted that every contestant deserves to be judged strictly on merit, performance, and the established criteria—not on perceptions or regional biases.  

He questioned whether the judges were applying the same standards fairly and consistently across all contestants. “Is her assessment consistent with the criteria and training given to the contestants? And are the judges applying the same standards fairly and consistently to all regions?” he asked, highlighting the need for accountability in the judging process.  

The post further urged TV3 to conduct a thorough assessment before selecting judges for such crucial stages of the competition. Nathaniel argued that the credibility of Ghana’s Most Beautiful depends on professionalism and transparency, and that any perception of bias undermines the integrity of the show. He reminded TV3 that the competition is not just entertainment but a cultural showcase that influences public perception of fairness and regional representation.  

“The people are watching, and every contestant deserves a fair assessment,” Nathaniel wrote, stressing that the audience expects judges to uphold the highest standards of impartiality. His words echoed the sentiments of many viewers who believe that the competition must remain a platform for celebrating Ghana’s diverse cultures without favoritism or unfair criticism.
