An alleged Dennis Emmanuel affair involving social media personality Folakemi Martins has sparked a heated online dispute, with both parties giving different accounts of how their relationship ended. Emmanuel, a gym instructor who said he is married, publicly accused Martins of harassment, stalking and attempts to damage his reputation and marriage.

He admitted that the pair had a sexual relationship but claimed Martins continued contacting him after he decided to end the affair.

In a lengthy post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Emmanuel shared screenshots of alleged conversations between himself and Martins.

He claimed their relationship began on May 9, 2026, after he told Martins that he was married and wanted a casual relationship.

According to Emmanuel, Martins initially accepted the arrangement but later became more demanding.

He alleged that she wanted a deeper relationship and accused her of repeatedly contacting him and his wife.

Some of the alleged conversations also showed Martins seeking more attention and affection from Emmanuel.

Emmanuel claimed the situation eventually affected his marriage and family, prompting him to make the matter public.

He alleged that Martins and some of her friends continued to monitor or contact him and his wife online.

“What happened over the past few weeks has gone beyond a personal disagreement,” Emmanuel said, explaining why he decided to tell his side of the story publicly.

Martins has rejected key parts of Emmanuel’s account.

Speaking to Saturday PUNCH, she said she never agreed to be his “side chick” and claimed she did not know he was married when their relationship began.

Martins said she was gathering evidence and pursuing the matter through legal channels.

“I never agreed to be a side chick and was never aware of any marriage,” she said.

She declined to provide further details, saying she would give her full account when permitted to do so by the court.

The conflicting accounts have added to the attention surrounding the Dennis Emmanuel affair, with both sides presenting different versions of what happened during and after the relationship.

The dispute has generated significant reactions on X, with several users criticising Emmanuel for having an affair while married.

Some commenters focused on his decision to make the private dispute public, while others questioned the circumstances surrounding the relationship.

The comments have further intensified the public debate, although the allegations made by both parties remain their respective accounts of the dispute.
