Assistant Director II Receives GH₵4,200 Monthly, Yet Someone Receives Same In A Day Meeting – Obenfo

According to a report by Onua TV on September 28th, 2026, the National Executive Director of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools, Obenfo Nana Kwasi Gyetuah, has described the disparity between public sector pay and meeting allowances as “deeply unfair.”Speaking on the ongoing teacher unions’ strike, he noted that an Assistant Director II in the Ghana Education Service earns GH₵4,200 a month, yet someone else can receive the same amount as a one-day meeting allowance.
