Stonebwoy and dancers on stage
Dancehall star, Stonebwoy, has added another major achievement to his international career after headlining the OVO Arena Wembley in London with his BHIM Fest concert.
The show, held on Saturday, August 15, made Stonebwoy the first Ghanaian artiste to headline the 12,500-capacity venue.
The award-winning musician delivered a high-energy performance that blended Afrodancehall, Ghanaian culture and some of his biggest songs.
Stonebwoy made a dramatic entrance with the Ghana flag and an independence arch projected onto the stage as he walked into the arena to the excitement of the packed audience.
He went on to perform several of his popular songs, with “Silent Samurai” among the performances that stood out during the night.
The concert also brought together several prominent Ghanaian and African artistes, including Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, Ofori Amponsah, DopeNation, Jux, Mista Silva, Mr. P and Stylo G.
The performance marked an important moment for BHIM Fest, which Stonebwoy has gradually expanded beyond Ghana as part of his efforts to promote Ghanaian and African music internationally.
The OVO Arena Wembley has hosted some of the world’s biggest music stars, including Beyoncé, Madonna, Prince and Burna Boy.
By taking BHIM Fest to the iconic London venue, Stonebwoy has further strengthened the festival’s position as a platform for showcasing African music and culture to international audiences.
