Tima Kumkum and her husband during their wedding

Media personality, Cynthia Tima Yeboah, popularly known as Tima Kumkum, has confirmed that she has been separated from her husband since April 1, 2025.

Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, Tima revealed that the couple has been living apart while their divorce case is currently before the court.

According to her, she initially chose to keep the situation private because she did not want to publicly discuss the reasons behind the breakdown of the marriage.

However, persistent speculation about her relationship status eventually prompted her to speak out.

“We don’t live together. I’m unbothered by any criticism. We need to call a spade a spade. You can’t hide it forever. When I was getting married everyone saw it, so if it has ended, they need to know,” she said.

Tima described herself as “partially single”, noting that although she and her husband are separated, their marriage has not yet been legally dissolved.

The couple tied the knot on July 15, 2023, in a highly publicised ceremony that attracted significant attention on social media. Tima admitted that she never expected the marriage to end.

Despite their separation, she praised her husband as a responsible father who continues to care for their child. She also indicated that issues concerning custody were being handled appropriately.

Reflecting on the experience, Tima said the separation had been difficult but she was gradually healing. She also recalled how some public reactions to her wedding content affected her, especially because many people did not know that she and her husband had already gone their separate ways.

With the matter now before the court, Tima said the remaining step is for the legal process to be completed.

For now, she said marriage is not a priority as she focuses on her life and allows the future to unfold naturally. As she prepares to turn 39 next month, the media personality said she remains hopeful about what lies ahead.
