Speaking in a candid interview with media personality Jackie Ogaga, Obinna said the accusations had not taken a toll on his mental health.
Instead, he said the episode had given him a deeper understanding of how misinformation travels and why it finds such a willing audience.
“I have seen the way some Kenyans think,” he said, adding that some people are genuinely malicious, others simply uninformed, and many never bother to verify claims before amplifying them.
He was particularly struck by how a small number of individuals can set off a wave of panic and speculation online.
“The story is being pushed by two to five people at most, and the rest are just resharing and reacting. Someone has lost his life, and you are so focused on another guy who is alive instead of asking why that person lost their life and what can we do better, while you know very well it’s a lie, but it makes you feel good.

“There are some people who still don’t believe that you can be very good at what you do like I am, so they still believe that there is something else that is not God,” Obinna said.
Beyond defending his own name, Obinna used the moment to sound a broader alarm. He warned that the same machinery driving these rumours about him could be weaponised during the 2027 General Election to deceive ordinary Kenyans on matters of far greater consequence.
The YouTuber argued that when people are conditioned to share before they think, they become easy targets for those who want to manipulate public opinion, whether in entertainment gossip or national politics.
