The Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, has called for stronger collaboration among law enforcement agencies across the continent to clamp down on criminal syndicates.

He made this call when officials from the Malawi Defence Force Command and Staff College paid a courtesy visit to the Management of EOCO.

The delegation, led by Colonel Alfred Luciano Matambo and Brigadier General Crispin Phiri, Assistant Commandant of the College, comprised 16 students drawn from Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, and Kenya.

The visit aimed to explore ways to collaborate with EOCO in combating transnational organised crime and to strengthen governance and security cooperation between the two nations.

Raymond Archer noted that EOCO has, over the years, remained focused on dismantling economic and organised crime syndicates that threaten lives and undermine the economy.

He emphasised that EOCO is open to sharing its experiences and expertise with other institutions in the fight against economic and organised crimes.

Raymond Archer further expressed optimism about deepening partnerships with Malawi to exchange knowledge on emerging crime trends, effective strategies, and capacity-building opportunities.
