Nollywood actor Stan Nze has shared his view on love, forgiveness and infidelity, saying he believes cheating can be forgiven under certain circumstances.

Naija News reports that the actor made the remark during an interview at a movie premiere where he was asked whether love alone is enough to keep a relationship or marriage together.

In response, Stan said the answer was not straightforward.

He explained that the kind of love capable of sustaining a relationship is not based on temporary feelings or attraction but on genuine commitment, sacrifice and selflessness.

According to him, true love is rooted in kindness, patience and the willingness to forgive.

He said many relationships break down because people struggle to forgive one another when mistakes are made. For that reason, he believes the right kind of love can help couples overcome challenges and remain together.

Speaking further, Stan addressed the issue of infidelity when he was asked if cheating could be forgiven. He said he believes forgiveness is possible when a partner commits such an act. However, he added that forgiveness should not be seen as approval for repeated wrongdoing.

He said: “Real love is enough, am not talking about ‘butterflies in your tummy’… not that. The love that Christ preached, the one that is agape, the love in Galatians 5:23, it’s not built on flesh, it’s genuine. The one that’s selfless, the one that’s kind, forgives easily because the things that happen in marriage or relationship that don’t make it work, the fact that you cannot forgive. Love is enough if it’s the right love.

“Absolutely, I can forgive cheating, but we shall not continue in sinning that grace might be abound. So you would not be stupid but if someone offends you or does something that’s not right, that’s what it is. It is not a licence to be stupid.”
