The Sempe Muslim Akwashongtse and Supreme Head of Gbese Sonmnena, Nii Doku III, Nii Adote Odaawulu, has called on the youth to embrace education, discipline and hard work as essential tools for personal development and national progress.

Delivering his Eid-ul-Adha message to Muslims in Ghana and across the world, the revered traditional leader urged young people to remain committed to acquiring knowledge and skills that would position them as responsible future leaders and agents of positive transformation in society.

According to him, the significance of Eid-ul-Adha goes beyond the celebration and embodies the values of sacrifice, obedience, humility, compassion and love for humanity.

Nii Adote Odaawulu I, who doubles as the Sempe Chief of Akweiman stressed the need for peaceful coexistence and unity among people from diverse backgrounds, noting that the country’s development could only be achieved in an atmosphere of tolerance, harmony and mutual respect.

He further appealed to individuals, organisations and community leaders to continuously support the poor, vulnerable and less privileged in society, not only during the Eid festivities but throughout the year.

“Let us show kindness to one another, uplift the needy and continue to promote peace and togetherness within our communities,” he stated.

The Sempe Muslim Akwashongtse also prayed for Allah’s blessings, protection and prosperity for Ghana and wished fellow Muslims a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
