Accra, May 18, GNA — Ghanaian-owned curation company Excellent Curator has officially launched the inaugural South African edition of its flagship event, “Her Portion is Honour,” in Cape Town affectionately known as the Mother City.
The Mother’s Day celebration, held on May 10, 2026, served as a powerful reminder for children and families to value, cherish, and celebrate the mothers and maternal figures in their lives.
A statement issued by Ms. Princess Arita Anim, the Founder of Excellent Curator, to the Ghana News Agency on Monday said, “The event brought together diverse women from around the world. As part of the celebration, the organisation distributed specially curated cards featuring heartfelt messages alongside thoughtful gifts.”
It said speaking at the launch, Ms. Anim, the Founder of Excellent Curator, expressed her sincere gratitude to God for the opportunity to honour women in such a meaningful way.
“As a curation company, we specialise in travel, lifestyle, and events, designing bespoke itineraries for individuals, groups, and corporate travel, while also planning impactful event concepts. “The Lord truly placed it on our hearts to independently put this event together,” it said.
While the statement elaborated on the purpose of the gathering, it described the launch as a divine assignment.
“This is the first of its kind—bringing women and mothers together to celebrate them as Scripture instructs in Proverbs 31:31. We are called to publicly honour the fruit of their hands.
A mother might have only given what she had, but that doesn’t make it any less real. Her worth isn’t measured by how much she had, but by how faithfully she used it. “Proverbs 31:31 tells us to recognise and honour what she actually produced,” it stated.
According to the statement, this is God’s move to inspire daughters, children, mentees, and husbands to appreciate this context and fulfill all righteousness.
It explained the choice of location as the deep symbolic link to Cape Town.
“We chose Cape Town for launch because it is Mother City. We often call Cape Town the ‘Mother City’ because it is a place of undeniable beauty, but it is also a place with deep social hurts that need healing,” it said.
It quoted Ms. Anim as saying, “today, we realise that a true mother doesn’t just celebrate the beautiful parts; she rolls up her sleeves to nurture, comfort, and unite the broken parts. Today, we honour our mothers who do exactly that in our families and our world,” she said.
Looking ahead, the statement revealed that “Her Portion is Honour” was set to become an annual global event adding that every Mother’s Day, Excellent Curator will select different cities and countries around the world to host the celebration, spreading the message of love and honour across borders.
