Pastor Who Asked Kenyans for KSh8 Million Prado Now Promises 2027 Presidential Prophecy
A Kiambu-based bishop has announced plans to reveal the person he believes will become Kenya’s next president, days after appealing to Kenyans and other well-wishers to help him raise KSh8 million to purchase a Toyota Prado.
Bishop Kenphas Muturi made the announcement on Friday, November 6, 2026, through a social media post in which he said he would release what he described as a prophecy about the country’s 2027 General Election in the coming week.
The preacher claimed that God had shown him the person who would be elected president, adding that the message would surprise many Kenyans.
In his post, Muturi urged journalists to prepare their cameras ahead of the announcement, insisting that the message should not be taken lightly.
However, he did not disclose the identity of the person he believes will win the presidential election or provide further details about the prophecy.
Pastor’s KSh8 million Toyota Prado appeal
The announcement comes shortly after Muturi attracted attention over his request for financial assistance to purchase a Toyota Prado worth KSh8 million.
In a post shared on October 27, the bishop appealed to friends, partners, supporters and other well-wishers to contribute towards acquiring the vehicle.
He disclosed that he had visited a showroom and identified a vehicle he liked, adding that he would communicate the fundraising dates later.
Muturi presented the proposed purchase as a project he hoped supporters would help him achieve, expressing confidence that he would eventually acquire the vehicle.
His request placed the preacher at the centre of an online discussion about religious leaders seeking financial contributions from their followers and the expectations surrounding such appeals.
The bishop’s latest announcement has introduced a new subject for public discussion, with attention now turning to the prophecy he says he will reveal.
Kenya is expected to hold its next General Election in 2027, when voters will elect the president and other leaders in accordance with the Constitution.
Presidential elections attract considerable public interest because their outcomes shape the country’s political leadership and direction for the following five-year term.
Nevertheless, Muturi’s statement remains a religious claim about a future political event. The person he intends to name has not yet been identified, and the outcome of the election will ultimately be determined through the constitutional electoral process.
For now, Kenyans will have to wait for the bishop’s promised announcement to find out whom he believes will lead the country after the 2027 election.
