RIP: Beautiful Photos of University Student Who Was Killed in Eldoret Town While Heading to School

Photos have emerged of Caroline Jebet, an Eldoret National Polytechnic student who tragically lost her life in a horrific road accident while travelling to school to sit her examinations, leaving her family, friends and fellow students in deep mourning.

Jebet died following a collision involving the motorcycle she was riding on and a tipper truck along Uganda Road in Eldoret town. The fatal accident reportedly occurred near Uzuri Supermarket after the truck developed brake problems before ramming into the motorcycle.

According to reports, the impact of the collision left Jebet with severe head injuries, causing her to die at the scene. The motorcycle rider survived the crash but sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he was reportedly receiving treatment in critical condition.

The tragedy has attracted widespread attention, particularly because Jebet was reportedly on her way to the institution to sit her examinations when the accident happened. What began as an ordinary journey to school ended in heartbreak, as the young student never made it to the examination room.

Her sudden death has sent shockwaves through the Eldoret National Polytechnic community, with fellow students and other members of the institution expressing sadness over the loss of a colleague whose future was still ahead of her.

In honour of her memory, students have organised a candlelit vigil scheduled for Thursday, November 5, beginning at 5 pm.

The memorial procession will start at the institution’s main gate, with students walking to the accident scene along Uganda Road. They will light candles in remembrance of Jebet before returning to the institution’s grounds near the cafeteria to conclude the gathering.

The planned memorial is expected to provide an opportunity for students to unite, mourn their colleague and celebrate her memory.

Jebet’s death is a painful reminder of the dangers facing road users and how a routine journey can suddenly turn into an unimaginable tragedy.
