BAT: The Presidential Jet Left Saudi For UK And France To Ferry Doctors Back To Saudi-Shaibu Alleges

Phrank Shaibu, a spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has made fresh allegations concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing visit to Saudi Arabia, claiming that medical personnel were transported from the United Kingdom and France to attend to the Nigerian leader.

Shaibu made the allegation during an interview on Channels Television, where he questioned the circumstances surrounding Tinubu’s stay in Saudi Arabia, particularly as the President is reportedly in the country to perform the lesser Islamic pilgrimage known as Umrah.

During the interview, Atiku’s aide alleged that Nigeria’s presidential aircraft travelled between Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and France to transport doctors to the country to provide medical attention to the President.

He challenged members of Tinubu’s media team to make available dated photographs and video recordings showing the President’s activities during his stay in Saudi Arabia.

According to Shaibu, providing such materials would help address questions surrounding the President’s condition and activities while outside Nigeria.

He further insisted that the opposition would continue to monitor developments involving the President, explaining that his camp had previously indicated its intention to hold the administration accountable.

Speaking during the interview, Shaibu said:

“Ask them, they know that their jet, the presidential jet, left Saudi for the UK and France to ferry their doctors back to Saudi. They know what we are talking about. We issued a statement that we decided to monitor him and keep him in check.”

He maintained that Atiku Abubakar, who is expected to fly the ADC’s presidential flag, would be physically present across Nigeria’s 36 states as part of his campaign activities.

Shaibu argued that Atiku possesses the physical strength and determination required to embark on an extensive nationwide campaign, contrasting this with what he described as Tinubu’s limited capacity to undertake a similar exercise.
