Aide To President Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga Reacts After Hearing That Peter Obi Is Sick And Needs To Rest

Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has reacted to reports that former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi experienced exhaustion following a town hall meeting.

Onanuga shared his reaction in a post on his X account on Tuesday, where he made a sarcastic remark about the condition of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate.

“So, Saint Peter Obi is not a Superman after all. He can fall ill like all mortals. I wish him a quick recovery so he can rejoin what looks like another doomed presidential campaign,” he wrote.

His comment followed an explanation by the NDC Deputy Campaign Spokesperson, Dr. Sam Omale, during an appearance on Channels Television.

Omale dismissed concerns about Obi’s health, insisting that the former governor was in perfect health and only needed rest after maintaining a demanding campaign schedule.

He explained that Obi had been moving from one location to another with little time to rest, adding that even energetic individuals could experience exhaustion.

According to Omale, the party was trying to encourage Obi to slow down and get some sleep.
