I Won’t Stop Mentioning Sarkodie — Who Are You To Stop Me — Stonebwoy’s PRO Fires Back At Critics
The Head of Public Relations for Stonebwoy’s Burnition Music Group has defiantly told critics that no one can stop her from talking about Sarkodie.
Her crime? She criticised the rapper over a controversial video involving amputees.
Speaking on Class FM with DJ Slim on October 26, Vida slammed Sarkodie for reposting and defending a video that many say mocks persons with disabilities. She said Sarkodie’s comments were irresponsible and showed no respect for the pain disabled people face in Ghana every day.
That comment did not go down well with Sarkodie fans. They attacked her online and told her to leave Sarkodie’s name out of her mouth.
In a video shared on X on November 3, she said she has been in this entertainment industry for almost 20 years. No small boy on the internet can tell her who to mention or not mention.
“I won’t stop mentioning Sarkodie’s name. I won’t stop mentioning the name of any other artiste. Who are you?” she dared them.
She also challenged Sarkodie himself: “I dare him to post the video again.”
According to Vida, Stonebwoy has been fighting for persons with disabilities — creating special spaces for them at his concerts and pushing for inclusion. She says Sarkodie should know better.
The beef started after Stonebwoy’s OV Concert when a video involving a disabled man went viral. Sarkodie reportedly reacted to it, and Vida did not like his position.
Now the war is not just Sarkodie vs Vida. It is Sarkodie fans vs Stonebwoy’s camp.
And Vida has made it clear: If the issue is about disability, about respect, about Ghana music — she will mention Sarkodie’s name as many times as she wants. No one will shut her up.
