NDC Projected To Grab 154 Seats In 2028 As NPP Trails With 100 — Global Info Analytics

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is projected to win 154 parliamentary seats in Ghana’s 2028 general elections, while the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is forecast to secure 100 seats, according to a parliamentary seat analysis by Global Info Analytics. The projection suggests that the NDC could maintain a significant advantage over its main political rival if the forecast materialises.

The figures were disclosed by Mussa Dankwah, Chief Executive Officer of Global Info Analytics, in a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The accompanying graphic, titled 2028 Parliamentary Seat Projections – Ghana MRP Model Forecast, presents the estimated distribution of parliamentary seats ahead of the next general elections.

According to the projection, the NDC is expected to capture 55.8 per cent of the 276 parliamentary seats, while the NPP is projected to obtain 36.2 per cent. Two constituencies, representing 0.7 per cent of the total seats, are classified as toss-ups, while the allocation of 20 seats, accounting for 7.2 per cent, is listed as undisclosed.

The forecast places the NDC 54 seats ahead of the NPP, pointing to a possible parliamentary advantage for the governing party in 2028. With 154 projected seats, the NDC would be above the 139 seats required for a simple majority in Ghana’s 276-member Parliament.

The NPP, on the other hand, is projected to secure 100 seats, leaving it considerably behind the NDC in the current forecast. The two constituencies classified as toss-ups could still influence the final distribution, depending on how voters in those areas cast their ballots.

Another notable aspect of the analysis is the 20 seats categorised as “not disclosed”. These account for more than seven per cent of the total parliamentary seats, although the accompanying graphic does not provide an allocation for them or explain the reason for withholding their projected distribution.

The MRP model forecast offers an early picture of the possible parliamentary balance ahead of the 2028 elections. However, the figures represent projections rather than confirmed electoral outcomes, and the eventual results could be influenced by candidate selection, campaign strategies, voter preferences and other political developments.

The projection therefore provides an indication of the possible parliamentary contest between the NDC and NPP, with Global Info Analytics’ current analysis placing the governing party ahead. Further projections may offer additional insight into how the parliamentary landscape could change as the 2028 elections approach.
