“You Have No Right To Condemn Me”- Jimi Odukoya Responds To Backlash Over Second Marriage
Nigerian pastor and actor, Jimi Odukoya, has responded to critics questioning his decision to remarry following the death of his first wife, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.
The cleric addressed the criticism surrounding his second marriage, making it clear that he would not allow other people’s opinions to dictate his personal decisions.
In his response to those questioning his choice, Jimi Odukoya stated that people who did not share in his personal struggles or sacrifice for him had no right to condemn him.
“If you did not die for me, you cannot condemn me,” he said.
His statement has since sparked conversations on social media, with many weighing in on the issue of remarriage after the loss of a spouse.
While some have defended the pastor, arguing that he deserves the opportunity to find love and happiness again, others have continued to express their opinions about his decision.
The discussion has once again brought attention to the different expectations placed on public figures, particularly religious leaders, when it comes to their personal lives.
