Family announces burial arrangements for actor Francis Duru

The family of late veteran, Francis Duru, has announced his burial arrangements.

The announcement was made in a statement posted on the actor’s official Instagram page on Monday, titled “FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.”

In the statement, the family disclosed that his funeral activities will begin with a Service of Songs and Tributes in Abuja on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 by 5pm at Family Worship Center, Idris Gidado Street, Wuye, Abuja.

A second Service of Songs and Tributes will hold in Imo State on Thursday, December 10, 2026 at the Late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru’s Family Compound, Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.

According to the statement put out, his funeral and interment will follow on Friday, December 11, 2026 at Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.

The statement also noted that additional Service of Songs events are being organised by respective branch bodies and associations in various states.

The 59-year-old actor died on October 22, 2026, after a battle with an undisclosed illness.
