Speaking on Connect FM's Omanbapa Morning Show, hosted by Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson on November 2, she said the party needs a leader who can unite members and address the concerns of grassroots supporters.

According to her, some party members are dissatisfied because they believe they have not received the recognition and opportunities they deserve, despite the NDC being in power.

She said the situation requires a regional chairman who will advocate for members and work to address their concerns.

"At this moment, we have party members who are unhappy. Some believe that even though the party is in power, they are not getting what they deserve. We need a chairman who can fight for party members," she said.

Madam Gyan Cudjoe expressed confidence that Mr Arthur can provide the leadership needed to address these concerns.

She highlighted some of Mr Arthur's campaign proposals, which include reconciling party members after internal elections and ensuring fair treatment for all 17 constituencies in the Western Region.

Madam Gyan Cudjoe said Mr Arthur's proposed priorities for his first 100 days in office include engaging executives from all 17 constituencies, initiating reconciliation efforts, and developing plans for the employment desk and party welfare fund.

"He also intends to introduce training programmes for branch and constituency executives and improve communication and accountability within the party," she added.

Mr Arthur, a former MP for Amenfi Central, is contesting the NDC Western Regional Chairmanship on a message focused on party unity, grassroots empowerment, employment opportunities and improved administration.

He is campaigning under the slogan "From Addition to Multiplication" and is number two on the ballot.

Madam Gyan Cudjoe urged delegates to support his candidature, expressing confidence that his experience could help strengthen the party's structures and address the concerns of its members.
