Sam Pyne Blasts Ashanti Regional Minister For Lying To Asantehene About Abusuakruwa Bridge

Former Kumasi Mayor, Sam Pyne, has fired the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, over the Abusuakruwa bridge project.

Sam Pyne says the minister lied to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, about the bridge.

Speaking on Kessben FM with Kwame Adinkrah, Sam Pyne described the minister’s claim as misleading.

According to him, the Ashanti Regional Minister tried to give credit to the NDC government for the Abusuakruwa bridge project. But Sam Pyne says that is not true.

He argued that the project was completed under the previous NPP government of Nana Akufo-Addo and should not be claimed by the current government.

Sam Pyne said it is wrong for the minister to go before the Asantehene and tell him something that is not true. He said the Asantehene deserves the truth and not politics.

“The minister lied to Asantehene. The Abusuakruwa bridge was done under the NPP. NDC should not take credit for it,” Sam Pyne fumed.

He said such behaviour is not good and Ghanaians are watching.

The Abusuakruwa bridge is part of the Suame Interchange and other overpasses that were started to reduce traffic in Kumasi.
