During The Inauguration Of Our PCC, Akpabio Was Attacking Uzodinma That He Wants Be SP– Arodiogbu
Dr Ijeomah Linus Arodiogbu, APC National Vice Chairman for the Southeast, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of attacking Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma over an alleged ambition to become Senate President.
Speaking during an interview on TVC News, Arodiogbu said Uzodinma had never publicly declared any interest in becoming Senate President.
He explained that the speculation started when Akpabio allegedly attacked Uzodinma during the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, accusing him of wanting to become Senate President.
Arodiogbu suggested that the accusation might be connected to the ongoing political battle involving Uzodinma and former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha over the APC senatorial ticket.
He also accused Okorocha of making it his major ambition to ensure that Uzodinma does not appear on the ballot, describing him as a tool being used by people opposed to the governor.
The APC chieftain further said Uzodinma had not approached the party or told anyone about plans to become Senate President, adding that it was unfair to assume what he wanted without hearing from him.
In his words, “What highlighted this speculation was the Senate President himself, during the inuaguration of our presidential campaign council, attacking Senator Hope Uzdodinnma that he wants to become Senate President.”
