Reactions Trail After President Tinubu Said He Prayed For Wisdom To Continue To Serve The People
There have been several reactions from social media users after a video of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu speaking about the prayer he made during his visit to the Holy Kaaba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, surfaced online.
The video was shared by aide to the President, D. O. Olusegun on his X account on Monday, showing the President recounting his experience after performing Umrah, the lesser Hajj.
Speaking about the rare spiritual experience, Tinubu revealed that he prayed to Allah for wisdom and resilience to continue serving the people of Nigeria. He also expressed confidence that his prayer had been answered.
“I asked for wisdom, and resilience to continue to serve the people and I know that has been granted,” the President said.
Tinubu further recalled that he made a similar request before the 2023 presidential election, explaining that he had asked Allah to bless his Umrah and later returned to express his gratitude.
“I asked Allah to bless my Umrah and he did, and I came back to thank him,” he added.
The President described the experience as historic and expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for granting him and members of his delegation the privilege of entering the inner chambers of the Holy Kaaba.
Tinubu was reportedly led into the sacred site by Sheikh Dahlulah Muthawal of Masjid al-Haram. Members of the Nigerian delegation included Attorney-General of the Federation Lateef Fagbemi, Health Minister Ali Pate, several northern governors and prominent businessmen.
The video has since drawn attention online, with social media users reacting to the President’s account of his spiritual experience and the prayer he said he made for Nigeria.
