Dashcam Captures Suspected Woman-Led Robbery in Hillbrow

A suspected robbery involving a woman was reportedly captured on a vehicle’s dashcam in the Hillbrow/Berea area of Johannesburg on Friday, 30 October 2026.

The incident is said to have taken place at the corner of Lilly and Joel Streets. Footage of the alleged robbery has been circulated on social media, with members of the public being urged to share it in an effort to identify those involved.

The person who shared the appeal called on social media users to repost the footage and help bring the suspected perpetrators to the attention of law enforcement authorities.

However, details surrounding the incident remain limited. It has not been confirmed what was allegedly stolen, whether anyone was injured or whether a criminal case has been opened with the police.

The identities of the individuals seen in the footage have also not been established, and the allegations have yet to be independently verified.

Residents and motorists who may have witnessed the incident or have relevant information are encouraged to report it to the police rather than confront any suspected individuals.

The footage could assist investigators in establishing what happened and identifying those allegedly responsible.

The incident has renewed calls for vigilance among motorists and pedestrians in the area.
