Junet Mohamed Questions Ruto for Inviting ODM Leaders to Government Before Making His Own Plans

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has directed a sharp message at President William Ruto, questioning why he invited opposition leaders to join his administration if he intended to make government decisions alone.

In remarks shared on his Facebook page, Junet appeared to challenge the political understanding that brought leaders from different sides together under the broad-based government arrangement.

“Kama unataka kutengeneza serikali peke yako, mbona ulituita basi? Ungetuacha tuendelee kukaa kwa barabara!” Junet stated, suggesting that if Ruto wanted to form a government by himself, there was no need to invite others to join.

His comments touch on the relationship between Ruto and leaders who agreed to work with his administration following discussions between the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). The broad-based government was presented as an opportunity to promote cooperation and address national issues, but it has continued to attract debate over the roles and influence of those who joined.
