Malala Finally Reacts Days After Gachagua Labeled Him A Small Min-Ruto, Says This

Cleo Malalah has finally broken his silence after days of intense speculation following Rigathi Gachagua’s controversial remarks about him.

This comes days after his party boss Rigathi Gachagua dismissed him as a smaller version of President William Ruto during a live TV interview.

Gachagua was reacting to Malalah’s earlier claim that DCP had already endorsed Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as its preferred presidential candidate for 2027.

The DCP leader clarified that Malalah was speaking purely for himself, and not representing the official position of the party at all.

He argued that the former Kakamega senator was only telling Western Kenya voters what they wanted to hear to gain political mileage locally.

According to Gachagua, that is exactly what President Ruto does when he visits different regions with tailored political promises and messages.

He added that Malalah has been lobbying him privately and persistently to support Sifuna’s presidential ambition ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Despite the public rebuke and the unflattering comparison, Malalah appears completely unbothered and focused on his Western Kenya political activities.

On Friday, he posted a cryptic but calculated message on X that immediately caught the attention of his followers and political observers.

“In the words of my Party leader, we shall continue persuading,” he wrote, suggesting he will not abandon his push for Sifuna anytime soon.

He accompanied the post with the hashtags #KakamegaWeWant and #BongaNaCleo, which are central to his ongoing grassroots mobilization strategy in Kakamega.

The photo showed him in Kakamega, standing between two priests at a public function, projecting calm, humility and confidence despite the political storm.

Political observers say the post is a soft but strategic comeback, avoiding direct confrontation while asserting his loyalty to the party.

Instead of firing back at Gachagua, Malalah is clearly choosing persuasion over confrontation, a tactic his party leader himself preaches publicly.

He is signaling that he will not drop his push for Sifuna, even as Gachagua insists that DCP has not taken any official position yet.

For now, the ball remains in Gachagua’s court as Kenyans wait to see whether he will eventually accommodate Malalah’s persuasion or shut it down completely.
