Kimani Ichung’wah’s Mansion Draws Attention as Kenyans Get Glimpse During His 50th Birthday

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah has given Kenyans a rare glimpse into his private life after photographs from his 50th birthday celebration revealed part of his residence.

The Kikuyu Member of Parliament celebrated the milestone on October 29, 2026, at his home in a private gathering attended by close friends and family. Ichung’wah, who was born on October 29, 1976, marked half a century in what appeared to be an intimate celebration.

The photographs were shared on Facebook by Nakuru businessman Sam Mburu, who is married to Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika. In his post, Mburu congratulated the Majority Leader and wished him many more years as he celebrated the milestone.

One of the images showed Ichung’wah standing alongside his wife and Mburu on a neatly maintained lawn in front of an impressive house. The residence features a cream and beige exterior, white pillars, tall windows and a stone clad lower section. Its surrounding garden, with green grass and well arranged flower beds, also stood out in the photograph.

Another photograph captured a yellow birthday cake decorated with green icing and red cherries. The cake carried a birthday message celebrating Ichung’wah as the Majority Leader.

Mburu’s post attracted considerable attention online, receiving more than 3,500 likes, approximately 360 comments and 23 shares within 12 hours of being published. Several social media users took to the comments section to send birthday wishes to the legislator.

Despite his high profile position in Parliament, Ichung’wah has generally kept his personal life and residence away from public attention. He has served in Parliament since 2013 and rose through the ranks to become the Majority Leader in the 13th Parliament.

The birthday photographs therefore offered Kenyans an uncommon look at the home of one of the country’s most prominent legislators, while also drawing attention to the private celebration marking his 50th birthday.
