Princess Shyngle cries out after nearly falling victim to credit card fraud

Gambian actress and socialite Princess Shyngle has expressed anger after an individual allegedly attempted to use a credit card bearing her name at a Lagos establishment in a possible identity theft.

In a video shared on social media, Shyngle said she discovered the incident after the establishment’s owner reportedly stopped the transaction and alerted her.

“Whoever is using my name and credit card information, reveal yourself! You messed with the wrong one,” she wrote in a social media post, adding that she was determined to get to the bottom of the incident.

In the video, an visibly upset Shyngle said she never imagined she would become a victim of identity theft, questioning how the individual obtained an American Express card bearing her name.

She also threatened to pursue the matter, saying she intended to review CCTV footage to identify the person involved and expose them. She further claimed to have contacted the police.

“I would have never thought in my wildest dream, I would ever be a victim of identity theft,” she said.

Shyngle insisted that her reaction was not an attempt to attract attention or generate views, but a response to what she described as a serious violation of her identity.

The circumstances under which the card was obtained, as well as the identity of the person who allegedly attempted to use it, remain unclear.
