South Africa U15 Bounce Back With a 5-1 Victory, Here’s Who Awaits Them Next

South Africa’s Under-15 national team returned to winning form with an impressive 5-1 victory over the United Arab Emirates at the 2026 FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The South African youngsters delivered an outstanding performance this morning, securing a convincing win after their previous outing. Their attacking quality and determination proved too much for the UAE side, as they found the back of the net five times to claim an important victory in the tournament.

Inganathi Saliwa, Neo Dhlamini and Osas Asubaja were among the goalscorers for South Africa, while Bohlale Finger made a significant contribution by scoring twice. Finger’s brace helped the team strengthen its advantage and complete an emphatic victory over their opponents.

The result represents an important response from the South African side, who will be eager to maintain their momentum as the competition progresses. Scoring five goals will also provide encouragement for the players and coaching staff ahead of their next assignment.

South Africa’s victory has secured them a place in the Tier B playoffs, where they will face either Ivory Coast or South Sudan. Their next opponents will be determined by the outcome of the match between those two nations.

The upcoming encounter will form part of the playoffs for positions 41st to 48th at the 2026 FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival. Although the team is competing in the lower classification section of the tournament, the remaining matches offer the young players another opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and gain valuable international experience.

The competition in Baku provides a platform for developing footballers to test themselves against opponents from different countries while continuing their growth at the international level. For South Africa, the convincing win over the UAE could provide the confidence needed to approach the next challenge with renewed determination.

With five goals scored and a strong overall result, the South African U15 team will now turn its attention to the playoffs. The players will hope to build on this performance, improve their final tournament standing and finish their campaign on a positive note.
