Amount of Money in Kenyan Shillings You Will Pay for DStv Packages Under MultiChoice’s New November

MultiChoice Kenya has announced a major restructuring of its DStv subscription packages, replacing its traditional six packages with four new tiers set to take effect on November 5, 2026.

“For the first time after 30 years, we have launched our new packs with more choice, more value… starting from 750 shillings all the way to the maximum price it’s now 7,300 shillings,” a MultiChoice representative said during the announcement.

Under the revised pricing structure, the DStv Starter package will cost KSh 750 per month, while DStv Select will cost KSh 1,500. The DStv Sports package, designed for viewers seeking sports coverage, will cost KSh 3,000 per month. The premium DStv Ultimate package will be priced at KSh 7,300 per month.

The company has highlighted affordability as a key consideration behind the changes, saying the new packages are intended to make its content accessible to more Kenyan households.

“Affordability has been one of the biggest concerns for customers to enjoy our content… we believe that more Kenyans should have access to our great content and not be restricted to a few,” company representatives said.

The revised structure represents a significant change to DStv’s subscription options in Kenya, with four tiers offering different price points for customers seeking entertainment and sports content.
