Joseph Molangoane Reveals His Stance on Manqoba Mngqithi Joining Kaizer Chiefs and Backs Da Cruz

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Joseph Molangoane has shared his thoughts on the possibility of Manqoba Mngqithi joining Amakhosi, describing the experienced coach as someone who could make a positive contribution to the club if the opportunity arises.

Molangoane believes Mngqithi possesses the qualities needed to strengthen Kaizer Chiefs and potentially help the team improve its performances. His experience and understanding of South African football could make him a valuable addition should the club decide to consider bringing him into its technical setup.

However, the former Amakhosi winger has also expressed confidence in the club’s current head coach, Fernando Da Cruz. Rather than calling for an immediate change in leadership, Molangoane has backed the French tactician to prove himself and deliver the results expected by the club’s supporters.

Kaizer Chiefs have continued to attract attention as fans and football observers assess the team’s progress and consider what could help the club return to greater success. Discussions about possible coaching options have therefore become part of the wider conversation surrounding the Soweto giants.

Mngqithi, who has considerable experience coaching in South African football, remains a name that could attract interest whenever discussions arise about strengthening a club’s technical team. His background and coaching knowledge are among the reasons some observers believe he could offer Amakhosi something valuable.

Nevertheless, Molangoane’s position reflects a balanced view of the situation. While he recognises the potential benefits of having Mngqithi at Kaizer Chiefs, he has not dismissed Da Cruz’s ability to lead the team. Instead, he believes the current coach deserves the opportunity to demonstrate what he can achieve.

For Kaizer Chiefs, decisions concerning the technical team will ultimately depend on the club’s management and its long-term ambitions. Consistency, improved performances and positive results will remain important factors as the team works towards meeting the expectations of its supporters.

Molangoane’s comments have added another perspective to the ongoing discussions about Amakhosi’s coaching situation, highlighting both the potential value of Mngqithi and the need to give Da Cruz an opportunity to establish himself at the club.
