NDC Will Not Accept Economic Advice from NPP – Delali Sewoekpor
A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Delali Sewoekpor, has stated that the party will never take economic advice from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He made the position clear while discussing the NDC’s approach to managing the economy and responding to suggestions from the opposition.
Sewoekpor explained that the NDC does not consider the NPP a credible source of economic guidance, given what he described as the opposition party’s own record in government. According to him, the NDC will rely on its own policies, expertise, and vision rather than accepting recommendations from a party whose economic management he questioned.
He emphasized that the NDC remains focused on delivering its mandate and implementing measures aimed at stabilizing and growing the economy. In his view, accepting advice from the NPP would not serve the interests of Ghanaians, and the party is confident in its ability to chart a sound economic course without input from its political opponents.
Sewoekpor further noted that the NDC is committed to policies that address the concerns of ordinary citizens and promote development. He stressed that the party’s economic direction is grounded in careful planning and a clear understanding of the challenges facing the country, and it will not be swayed by suggestions from the opposition.
His remarks underscore the political tension between the two major parties over economic policy and governance. While the NPP has offered critiques and proposals on economic matters, the NDC’s communications team member made it clear that such input will not be entertained.
Sewoekpor’s statement reflects the NDC’s determination to stand by its own economic agenda and to defend its record and plans against opposition commentary. He reiterated that the party’s priority remains the welfare of Ghanaians and the effective management of the national economy.
