When Wike Was Afraid That Fubara Was Taking Over the Place, Wike Was Moving From LGA to LGA—Pidomson
The Rivers State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Gabriel Pidomson, has accused FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of becoming politically active in Rivers State because of the growing support for his opponents ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Pidomson made the statement in Port Harcourt during the inauguration of the ADC governorship campaign council, where he also warned against alleged plans to manipulate the election.
Recalling an earlier political period when Governor Siminalayi Fubara was gaining ground, Pidomson claimed that Wike moved from one local government area to another because he feared losing political control of the state.
He also alleged that Wike visited Bonny shortly after he had travelled there for a radio programme and met with some residents.
The ADC candidate said his party would respond to political challenges with determination and would not allow anyone to manipulate the 2027 governorship election.
In his words, “You know why the FCT Minister is running around in Rivers State is because he knows that we’ve done a lot of work. Anytime you see him panic, I’ll give you an example. When he was afraid that Sim was virtually taking over the place and he entered the party, he was moving from LGA to LGA.”
