Photos of Ramogi TV Presenter in a Short Skirt That Left Kenyans Talking

Ramogi TV presenter Glyn Ramogi Nyar Nyakach is at the centre of a heated online debate after a photo of her on-air outfit spread widely on social media, leaving Kenyans sharply divided.

Glyn hosts Thum Dag Mor, an entertainment show on the Luo-language station.

In the image, she wears a bright green short-sleeved top with a small collar, paired with a red skort, a garment that combines shorts with an overlapping panel to resemble a skirt, with three gold buttons down the front.

She completed the look with dangling red earrings, a thin necklace and a bracelet, and wore her braids in a high updo while holding a dark tablet in both hands.

The photo drew a flood of comments on whether the outfit suited a professional broadcast setting.

Some viewers were blunt in their criticism. Jakanyala Wilson Okombo joked that she had come with “a handkerchief in the name of a skirt”, while Joseph Omburo said he switches off his TV the moment he sees such dressing.

Philip Etale argued that journalism, like law and teaching, demands a strict dress code.

NyarKoyugi Nyakwar Mbori took a more measured view, saying people are free to dress as they wish but that clothing says a lot about a person.

Others defended the presenter and questioned the motives of her critics.

A user identified as Nyar Ji said she was sure many of those condemning Glyn in public were zooming in on the picture in private for a closer look.

The reactions reflect a wider conversation on professional presentation standards in Kenyan media, where on-screen appearance remains a sensitive subject.

Opinion is split between those who believe broadcasters should follow conservative dress codes and those who argue that personal expression should not be policed. The debate showed no sign of settling.
