A Ghanaian man, Prince Acquah, has captured public admiration after sharing his unwavering commitment to caring for his wife, Nana Konadu, who has been immobilized by a stroke for the past two years.

Appearing on Oyerepa Afutuo, Prince recounted the daily physical and emotional toll of managing his wife’s care. Following the stroke, Nana Konadu lost the ability to walk or perform basic tasks independently. Prince has assumed complete responsibility for her personal care—including bathing, feeding, and carrying her on his back—all while managing the household and maintaining a job to provide basic sustenance.

The emotional burden of their situation is further compounded by a lack of extended family support. Prince revealed that despite both of his wife’s parents being alive, they have offered virtually no assistance over the two-year period, alleging that her father visited only once.

During the live broadcast, show host Auntie Naa contacted Nana Konadu’s father to address the abandonment directly, sparking widespread discussion on parental responsibility and family support systems.

Touched by the couple’s plight, Auntie Naa issued an open appeal to the public for financial assistance to support the family with medical expenses and daily living costs.
