APC Reacts As Viral Video Of First Lady Feeding Tinubu Triggers Health Concerns

According to a report by The Daily Post on Monday, October 26, 2026, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential campaign flag-off at the Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna State has plunged the political space into intense controversy, following a viral video showing First Lady Remi Tinubu placing a substance into the mouth of President Bola Tinubu.

The footage immediately sparked wild speculations across social media regarding the President’s physical fitness and overall well-being.

Opposition figures quickly jumped on the development to question his health status and capacity to govern.

Paul Ibe, media aide to the opposition camp, urged the President’s family to prioritize his health and pull him out of political campaigns.

Similarly, activist Omoyele Sowore insisted that Nigeria must stop using the presidency to manage a sick leader.

Beyond the heated health concerns, fierce critics like popular political commentator Isaac Fayose blasted the ruling party over an alleged poor turnout, claiming that even a modest 5,000-capacity stadium could not be fully filled despite allegedly bringing in supporters from various states like Delta.

However, the ruling party fiercely dismissed all opposition allegations. APC founding member and former VON DG, Osita Okechukwu, slammed the opposition for discussing health matters insensitively, maintaining that God is in charge of everyone’s well-being and that the President is fully fit to seek a second term.

Okechukwu also insisted that the Kaduna rally was a massive success with an overflowing crowd, explaining that the venue was chosen because the larger Ahmadu Bello Stadium was undergoing repairs.

Furthermore, he cautioned northern voters against supporting candidates allegedly breaching power rotation agreements between the North and South.
