“Kaa Chini Ama Nikupige Kofi” Drama As Natembeya Threatens To Slap An MP During A Chaotic Burial (Video)

Political temperatures in Kenya have once again reached a boiling point following a dramatic confrontation in Trans Nzoia County, where Governor George Natembeya nearly slapped a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) allied Member of Parliament during a tense funeral service.

The volatile incident erupted when the lawmaker attempted to compel Governor Natembeya to sit down, triggering a fierce physical and verbal standoff before mourners.

According to the MP, he was acting under the direct instructions of the late Nabwera’s family, who had allegedly tasked him with managing the political speeches and maintaining order among the attending leaders. Consequently, the legislator claimed he possessed the requisite authority to halt the governor’s address.

The confrontation quickly escalated into a chaotic political war, capturing widespread public attention and leaving Kenyans across the country questioning the deteriorating state of political decorum during solemn events.

Videos of the altercation have since circulated widely on social media platforms, drawing sharp criticism from citizens who argue that leaders are increasingly weaponizing funerals for political grandstanding rather than respecting the grieving families.

This high-voltage clash underscores the rapidly intensifying political realignments and fierce competition in Trans Nzoia County as incumbents and hopefuls aggressively position themselves ahead of the upcoming elections.

With political intolerance visibly growing, civil society groups and local leaders have renewed calls for restraint, urging politicians to exercise maturity and respect the dignity of the dead, warning that unbridled political hostility threatens peace and stability in the region.
