Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Arrive Kaduna for 2027 Re-election Campaign Flag-Off
According to a post on X by NTA News Network on Saturday, October 24, 2026, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accompanied by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, has arrived at Kaduna International Airport ahead of the flag-off of his campaign for the 2027 presidential election.
The President is expected to proceed to the campaign venue to formally launch the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign for his second term in office.
The Kaduna rally marks the beginning of the ruling party’s campaign activities aimed at securing another four-year mandate for Tinubu, who was elected president in 2023.
The choice of Kaduna as the location for the campaign launch had been announced earlier by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Yari disclosed the plan on October 9 after meeting Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he briefed the President on preparations and the proposed timetable for campaign activities across the country.
He said the President had approved the proposed schedule, which included visits to various states as the party prepared for the 2027 general elections.
The Kaduna Township Stadium is the venue for the campaign flag-off, with preparations completed ahead of the gathering. The event is expected to attract APC governors, members of the National Assembly, party officials, elected representatives and supporters from different parts of Nigeria.
Security arrangements were also strengthened around the metropolis and the rally venue to manage the expected turnout and ensure public safety.
Following the Kaduna event, Yari had identified Port Harcourt in Rivers State and Maiduguri in Borno State as other destinations on the proposed campaign itinerary.
The campaign comes ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the APC seeking to consolidate its support base and persuade voters to return Tinubu to the presidency.
The President’s arrival in Kaduna with the First Lady sets the stage for the ruling party’s planned campaign launch as political activities intensify ahead of the next presidential contest.
