“Kalonzo is a Truthful Man” Ruto Says, Reveals What He Has Been Doing Compared to Other Politicians

President William Ruto has praised Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka for acknowledging development projects, contrasting him with other political leaders whom he accused of refusing to recognise the government’s achievements.

Speaking on October 24, 2026, Ruto said Kalonzo was a truthful leader who was willing to admit when work had been done. “At least Kalonzo is a truthful man. Where work has been done, he acknowledges it and says work has been done,” Ruto said.

The President added that some leaders would refuse to acknowledge development even when the government constructed a road leading directly to their homes.

He accused such politicians of being dishonest, arguing that they were unwilling to appreciate projects delivered to benefit Kenyans.

Ruto’s remarks come amid continued political exchanges between the government and opposition leaders as the country approaches the 2027 General Election.

His comments also highlight the ongoing debate over government performance, infrastructure development and political accountability.
