Kenya Police Recruitment: Qualifications, Required Documents and Application Process

Joining the Kenya National Police Service is an opportunity for eligible citizens who want to serve their country by maintaining law and order, protecting lives and property, and preventing crime.

Applicants had to be Kenyan citizens with valid national identity cards and aged between 18 and 28 years. The minimum academic qualification was a KCSE mean grade of D+, with at least D+ in either English or Kiswahili.

Candidates were also required to be physically and medically fit, meet the advertised minimum height requirements, and have no criminal record or pending criminal charges. Female applicants were required not to be pregnant during recruitment and the entire training period.

Applicants were instructed to prepare their national identity cards, birth certificates, academic certificates and testimonials. Eligible National Youth Service graduates were also encouraged to apply.

The recruitment process was free, and candidates were warned against bribery or paying individuals who promised to secure them positions.

However, the previous recruitment exercise has closed. Interested Kenyans should monitor the official National Police Service Commission website for the next announcement before submitting applications.
