Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has summoned stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and the All Progressives Congress to a joint meeting scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Soludo, who is also the Anambra State Coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Committee, is convening the meeting as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
According to a circular dated October 22, 2026, and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor and Coordinator of the Secretariat for the Presidential Campaign Council in Anambra State, Dr. Ben Nwankwo, the gathering will be held at the International Convention Centre, Awka.
Nwankwo stated that the meeting would commence at 1:00 p.m. prompt, warning that all participants must be seated before the scheduled time, as doors would be closed once proceedings begin.
He noted that accreditation would commence at 10:00 a.m. at the venue, with attendance restricted to duly accredited invitees.
The announcement stated that the meeting is open to current and former political officeholders and party officials who remain members of either APGA or APC, alongside other designated political stakeholders.
Other invitees include current and former governors, deputy governors, and national, zonal, and state working committee members of both parties from the state who remain members, as well as all 2027 general election candidates of APGA and APC.
The list further includes current and former political appointees, members of the PBAT/APC Presidential Campaign Council from Anambra State, and serving and former elected local government chairmen, mayors, and transition committee chairmen.
Additional invitees comprise members of the Board of Trustees of APGA and APC from Anambra, coordinators of Tinubu support groups, and serving local government chairmen, secretaries, women leaders, and youth leaders of both parties.
Elected councillors, ward chairmen of APGA and APC, and members of the state working committees of the Accord Party and the Peoples Democratic Party are also listed.
The announcement added that selected stakeholders nominated by the state chairmen of APGA and APC, as well as others nominated by the state coordinator of the PCC, would attend the meeting.
“The announcement is intended to ensure that no eligible stakeholder could claim not to have been invited,” the statement read. “All persons who fall within the listed categories were deemed invited.”
“The joint meeting comes against the backdrop of political realignments and preparations by parties and their supporters ahead of the 2027 general election.”
