Wike: There’s Nobody Who’d Take Over Power In Nigeria, Even His Wife, Who Won’t Probe Him– Abdullahi

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi has criticised Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid despite the PDP’s position.

Abdullahi, who belongs to the Turaki-led PDP faction, made the remarks during an interview with Channels Television. He questioned why Wike was still regarded as a PDP member after his faction announced his expulsion from the party.

He stated that the group had taken the decision at the party’s highest decision-making level and subsequently issued a certificate of expulsion to formalise the action.

Abdullahi also accused Wike of displaying double standards, arguing that it was inappropriate for him to campaign for Tinubu’s re-election while the PDP had its own presidential candidate.

The former party spokesperson further expressed disapproval of Wike’s remarks concerning politicians who could assume power in Nigeria in the future.

According to Abdullahi, any individual who eventually becomes president, including Wike’s wife, would likely want to investigate the FCT minister.

He described Wike’s political conduct as disgraceful and warned that his alleged inconsistency could eventually have serious consequences.

Speaking during the interview, Abdullahi said, “There’s nobody on planet earth that would take over power in Nigeria, even his wife, that will not probe his life. This is just despicable.”
