“There was no sign Kwame Dzokoto wasn’t well; NDC has lost a big thing” – Otokunor

Dr Peter Boamah Otokunor, Spokesperson for the NDC Congress Election Committee, has described the death of Kwame Dzokoto as a painful loss, saying the late entertainer died in the line of duty while doing what he loved most.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam, Dr Otokunor said he was shocked to learn of Dzokoto’s death because he had spoken to him just two weeks earlier and had no indication that he was unwell.

He said his wife first informed him about the news, prompting him to seek confirmation of the reports.

“It was a very difficult one to take, but it was my wife who called me that Kwame has passed. Kwame was someone I was very close to. During my wedding, he was the MC, and so when my wife called to ask if I had heard about Kwame passing, I asked what was wrong with Kwame because there was no sign that he wasn’t well,” he said.

Dr Otokunor said the late entertainer’s death was particularly painful because of their close relationship and the unexpected nature of the news.

“I heard from him two weeks ago, so I went to verify if indeed he had passed on. He died like a soldier; he died in the line of duty, doing what he loves to do most. I think that’s what God wants, and I believe he is very fulfilled wherever he is,” he added.

He described Dzokoto as a talented and creative personality whose death was a significant loss to the NDC.

“The NDC has lost a big thing. Kwame Dzokoto was a very talented gentleman. He was extremely creative, and so may his soul rest in perfect peace,” he said.

Dr Otokunor extended his condolences to the bereaved family and called for the late entertainer to be remembered for his contributions to the country and the party.
