Sokoto-bound passengers dead after armed bandits intercept commercial vehicle

Bandits reportedly intercepted a vehicle conveying passengers returning from Sokoto city and fatally shot all the occupants in the vehicle. 

The incident occurred along the road to Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State. 

This was disclosed by Bakatsine, a conflict reporter covering northwestern Nigeria. 

Bakatsine said some of the victims were among the 3,000 people recruited by the Sokoto State Government who had been invited for further screening and collection of their documents. 

The attack reportedly occurred while the passengers were returning home from Sokoto city. 

Bakatsine shared photographs of some of the deceased, although their identities and the total number of casualties had yet to be established.
