Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has a message for people chasing their dreams.

Love is fine, she says, but people should not lose themselves in it.

In a post on social media on Thursday, she spoke about success, sacrifice and growth.

She said building something from nothing often means long nights, hard work and many sacrifices before people get recognition.

She warned that romance can become a distraction that pulls people away from their goals.

Her advice is to know your worth, stay focused and love yourself first.

 She also admitted the message was a reminder for herself too.
